Duet was founded by a group of USC students who realized that most social welfare non-profits provide donated items to beneficiaries without giving them the freedom to choose exactly what they will receive, often resulting in a mismatch between donations and what beneficiaries need.
 
Our mission is to support relocated refugee families in Lesvos, Greece and struggling Angelenos suffering from food insecurity by connecting them with generous donors in a transparent and dignified donation process.
