In response to COVID-19, Duet has expanded their operations to Los Angeles to help support vulnerable populations in the LA community who have been hit the hardest by the pandemic.
Well before the start of COVID-19, over 1 million people living in LA were at risk of becoming homeless. Since then, the pandemic has only exacerbated these conditions, with nearly 50% of households in LA experiencing economic instability due to job loss, furloughs, or reduced work hours. Unfortunately, this has caused many to experience housing and food insecurity.

As a social justice non-profit that believes in responsibility in times of crisis such as a global pandemic, Duet has partnered with Everytable, a business that cooks healthy and affordable meals for people in the LA community, to provide relief for the most vulnerable Angelenos by delivering warm, healthy meals to them. Donors have the option to choose how many meals they would like to provide for a family in need, as well as complete transparency of who the donated meals are benefiting and when they have been received through a confirmation email.
Similar to Duet’s partnerships with local stores and businesses in Greece, Duet has also partnered with restaurants in the LA community to support Angelenos in need and the local restaurants that have been struggling to remain afloat during this unprecedented time
